Founders of Midland International Aid Trust (MIAT) Professor Gatrad and Mr Aslam kindly donated school uniforms for the orphans at The Afobe Foundation Drop-in Centre in Lemba. Up to 50 children between the ages of 6-16 were each kitted out in a full uniform for the next schooling term when full time courses will be taking place at the Centre and at the full time Orphanage in 2017. 

Charity Director Fifi Afobe said: “We would like to send a massive thank you to Professor Gatrad, Mr Aslam, Dr. Abdi Ali and all involved at the Midland International Aid Trust“.

The children of The Afobe Foundation have expressed their sincere gratitude and can look forward to enrolling to the courses which will commence in September 2016. Disadvantaged and abandoned children registered with The Afobe Foundation will learn not only basic life skills but Language, Mathematics and Science.

President of The Afobe Foundation, Benik has commented: “If I could help every disadvantaged child in the world I could. These donations means a lot to me and make a world of difference to the children on the streets of Congo. I know the MIAT team have helped better thousands of lives and it’s an honour to work in conjunction with them on our projects”.
